January Challenge at Tingtura

I've made a card for Tingtura's January challenge - their sketch looks like this:

And my take is this:

I wanted to challenge myself even more, so I just put my hand into my bin of scraps and pulled out a piece of cardstock that became the base of the card - PINK! It was fun, and I really need to use all those scraps of cardstock and paper I have lying around. Not just buy new stuff all the time... ;)

That's all for today - hope you'll have a great weekend!

Saffron bun

These pictures are from the Lucia celebration in December - Kajsa is munching on a saffron bun - a favourite. She takes out the raisins, though, just like her mother... ;) I had no "B" so I had to use an 8 instead. It works out pretty ok, doesn't it?

The weekend is close now... I'm off to Ärla for a crop, so we'll see what I have to show you when I get back home! :D

Kajsan's Sketch

Kajsan drew a bunch of gorgeous and inspiring sketches this weekend at Magda's and I think I used them all. I couldn't resist them!! :D This one is with an old photo of Kajsa - she's but 6 months old in the picture. ♥

The green paper in the background is actually a piece of packaging that had Prima flowers on it. ;) I've seen it been used here and there - Zarah has done it, for one, so it's not at all my idea from the start.

I was also happy to use some of my Thickers - I have a LARGE stash of them, and I need to use them before the glue on them dries up. It probably has on some of them - lucky me I have Scotch Strong & Precise! ;)

Have a great day, y'all!

Little Miss Mischievous

A layout with my little girl - our Little Miss Mischievous:

The colours are a bit crazy, but with this darn non-light up here in the north, I can't do better than that. I know - Photoshop is great, but sometimes I can't master it the way I'd like. And sometimes the photos are too crappy to make perfect. ;)

Take care!

Colour challenge at Magda's

This past weekend Magda's had some challenges which I participated in - one of them is this colour challenge where I was supposed to use brown, turquoise, and white. I decided that the bling could pass as white, and that was okay:

Happy Birthday

The stamp used on this card is one of Tim Holtz lovely texture stamps. Particularly this one is my favourite - it's really useful!

I'll have some more for you tomorrow, so if you're curious - stay tuned! :D

Kajsa the Builder

This is one of the layouts I've made this weekend - there has been some challenges over at Magdas.

It has been quite a creative weekend - even though we've had a birthday party for the little one. I guess I'm on a roll right now. ;)

Have a great week!

Sketches

I made a few sketches for dear Annika yesterday, and of course I'll share them with you, too!

Do you think I could get away from the computer long enough to do something crafty now? Or do you believe I'll be stuck here for the rest of the evening? Well, that we'll see... ;)

Kajsa 2 years old

Today is my little girl's second birthday, and I've made her this card:

She can do whatever she wants with it - tear it apart or put it neatly somewhere; or play with it! She usually wants me to take all my cards down from the shelf (where I keep them) and then she likes to place them on the table, next to each other. Nice and neat. My little girl. ♥

How did 2 years pass so quickly?

Have a nice Saturday - we'll have cake today!! :D

This Saturday...

...is the day my dear daughter turns 2, but it's also the 40th birthday of a friend of the family. On his 38th birthday he said the best gift was Kajsa being born - and of course that was a very sweet thing to say! This year I've made him a card - I tried to make it a little bit more suitable for a man:

I've used one of my new Tim Holtz stamps for the card, as well as some corrugated cardboard, some lace and KaiserPearls. The patterned paper is October Afternoon. I ♥ OA, as you all might know by now. ;)

Take care and have a lovely weekend!

Nicke

This cool picture of our friend Nicke was taken by Petra Hall on the day of our wedding party. It was extremely easy to scrap and I used some new papers and decorations for the layout:

Unfortunately the flash was reflected in the photograph, but that's something I'll have to live with. ;)

Playful

This LO is made for Brunkullan, and I've used a patterned paper from Graphic 45 as background - something I seldom do. I challenged myself!! :D

I have to do that more often - it's hard, but FUN!!

Challenge yourselves to do something you rarely do when you scrap - especially if you feel like you're doing the same things over and over again. I tend to feel like that sometimes and then I want to try something new - that usually gives me a boost of mojo!

Have a great week - take care!

Sweet and sooty

These pictures are from last summer - Kajsa has played with the charcoals for the barbeque...

Happy Birthday Nicke!

Today is the birthday of one of our close friends - Niklas - and of course I've made him a card:

I won't be able to give him the card today, but I don't think he's keeping track of my blog, so I'm pretty sure he won't see it here before he recieves it. ;)

I have been a little bit busy crafting this weekend, so I still have a few creations to show you over the next couple of days, so keep your eyes peeled!

Have a good week!

More Sketches Anyone?

Here are three more - all for you Annika:

Hope your weekend was as nice as mine!

Take care!

The Light of My Life

It's Kajsa, of course:

Have used my new Gazebo alphabet from QK - AND - my new lamppost die from the very same company. I just love them both!! ♥

Hope your weekend has been good - my Saturday was great; shopping with Malinda at Pyssloteket (scrap store), time with the family and some scrap time together with Malinda. I think I've pulled her deeper down the swamp now... ;)

Tadaaaa!

Sketch Time!

I thought I'd show you some more sketches - hope they can inspire you! :)

Now I'm going to park my butt in front of my scrap table to have some nice quality time with Malinda! :)

Have a great weekend!

A Thursday Tribute

This is just so unexpected and crazy - I'm on Lina Kinell's blog as one of her Thursday Tributes:

Lina Kinell's blog

Lina's blog is well worth a visit (even if you don't understand Swedish) - she creates the most beautiful jewellry and her paper crafting is outstanding!

Thank you, Lina, you really made me proud and happy!

A Card for Brunkullan

Today I finally managed to DO something crafty - not just sit around wishing I had the time to do it. I usually spend too much time in front of the computer, and then I realise that what I really wanted to do was scrap - but then it's too late and I have to go to bed. Seriously - I'm hopeless!!

So, here's today's card:

This is a card made for Brunkullan, so if you're curious about the materials used (and know Swedish) you can pop by their blog for all the details. ;)

Take care!!

Challenge at Stämpelstudion

Stämpelstudion is having a challenge right now - you are to use corrugated cardboard, something die cut and punchinella. Since my dear friend Annika challenged me to use colours I rarely use together (red-blue-white) I decided to make a card for these two challenges together:

The card is actually dark blue, even though it looks black-ish. Couldn't decide on what the card would "say", so I left the card without a sentiment. I can always add that later, when I know who'll get the card. :)

It's getting warmer here now, and I really hope it will stay like that. I can't handle cold very well - I WANT SPRING!! ;)

Take care!

Challenge at Magdas

Yet another LO for a challenge - this time it's Magdas Scrapbooking who is hosting a brilliant challenge - to use stamps on your background. I pulled out some texture stamps from Tim Holtz and fired away. This is the result:

This is very sugar sweet, a bit different to what I usually do - especially concerning the colours. I'm not a very pink person, I believe. Nevertheless - here it is. All pink and girly and with a flutterby!!! :D

I hope you enjoyed your stay here!
Have a great day!

Challenge at Candy Shoppe Designs

There is a challenge going on at Candy Shoppe Designs - you should really check it out!! I made my contribution on the challenge to be inspired and scrap your interpretation of the word "I". Since I didn't have ANY photos of myself developed at the moment, I made this take on the challenge:

The story behind this title is that my husband has made a song called I/O U, and that he dedicated to me. ♥ That's why it was so easy to come up with this LO, because if he owes me - I owe him as much. He completes me.

Now it's time to do some cyber scapping together with dear Annika!

RAK soon on its way

I found something at home in my stash, something that someone was wishing she had, and something that I had barely used. I decided that this item would be sent to this sweet person, so I made a RAK-card to go with it.

I'll mail it during the weekend, so the person will recieve it in the beginning of next week. I won't show you the gift, but it has to do with the alphabet and it's sticky, but it's not stickers. What do you think it is, and WHO will have this RAK in her mailbox, do you think?

The first one who makes the correct guess (both what it is and to whom) will get a small prize! ;)

Take care now - I'm off to do some scrapping now!

A Book for Christina

I just felt like using my BIA (Bind it All) and decided that I'd make a notebook for a collleague. I thought that a notebook is something you could always use, and it's nice to have one that is a bit more than a regular notepad - more flowers and bling to the people!

I've used some patterned papers from Basic Grey's Marrakech line as well as some Prima flowers and bling swirls and a few KaiserCraft pearls. The letters are Making Memories and AdornIt.

Take care and have a lovely day!

My Goal 2010

This layout is about one of my goals this new year - to resume the weight loss journey I started last year. I've been lazy about it all autumn, but now I feel it's time to get going again!

I've already started, and it's hard, but I WILL make it!! :D

Have a good day!

Kajsa & Annika

Two of my favourite people in the whole world:

"Happiness"

This LO is also, as the layout of the last post, made from one of the sketches I made a couple of days ago. I've used some fantastic papers from Collage Press (Knave of Hearts) and decorations/journaling die cuts from that same line. The patterns are utterly yummy, and I still have some of them to play with.

My Dear Friend Annika

A Good Friend

This LO was made after a sketch that I showed you in this post. I found my old Swiss Dot Bazzills and decided to use one of them. They are gorgeous, and very suitable for my gorgeous friend Annika, don't you think?

See you tomorrow!

Is My Mojo Back?

I'd like to think so! In the last two days, I've made FOUR layouts, which is more than I made all December, I think.

Here's one of them:

This one is made from a sketch drawn by my dear friend Annika:

She sure knows how to get my creativity going when I'm stuck! Thanks hun!

Check back tomorrow for another LO! ;)

Take care!

An Oldie?

I'm not sure if I've shown this before, but I can't be bothered to search through all my posts - I know, I'm lazy! ;) Anyway, it's from last Christmas; Kajsa is almost 1 year old. She's turing 2 in exactly 3 weeks, so it's kind of ok to show this - even if I have shown it before, right?

"First Christmas"

Tonight I've created a LO with myself as the main character - not Kajsa - and I'll try to take some pictures of it tomorrow when there is a little brighter outside. Now it's just dark-dark-dark + cold and snowy.

Please give me spring!

New Sketches

I've started this year off by drawing a few sketches that I thought someone might get inspired by, so here they are:

Use them if you'd like - and if you blog something you create, please leave a link so more people can find the sketches! :)

Have a sweet evening!

Happy New Year!

I'm starting off this new year with some musical news, as my husband has just released his new album today and I thought I'd share his latest newsletter with you:

Red turns to Blue released today!

After over a year of composing, mixing, collaborating, listening, remixing, working on artwork, changing distributor and mastering the album it is finally released. If you haven’t had chance to hear any preview of the album then I can prepare you for the experience by sharing the following.
The new album is a musical journey and you will find that the new album features tracks ranging from the more traditional commercial sound to tracks with feel from the first Voide album Space Sponge.. I knew very early that this album would be a ’bumpy’ ride although not in an uncomfortable fashion. I’ve put a lot of effort into the arrangement of the track order and I hope that the album will provide you with an engaging and interesting listener experience.
The past year has been full of challenges and hard work both with music and other matters and it is great to feel that I can now deliver a album that I am really proud over, I hope you will like it too!

Make sure that you listen to the title track Red turns to Blue featuring Pixieguts that uses lyrices inspired and partially used by Isabel Lavender.

It appears that the promised digital distribution is lagging a bit, likely due to the holidays, and all sites don’t have the new album listed yet – it should appear in a couple of days.

In the meanwhile you can listen and enjoy the new album at these sites:
Reverbnation
Last.fm
Bandcamp (abum available for secure digital purchases using PayPal)
Voide.net

Happy New Year and best wishes for the new decade!
Dave of Voide

I don't know what kind of music you all like, but this music is PERFECT to have in the background when you're scrapping - I love it! In my left margin you can find a player with some of Voide's music - try it, you might like it! ;)

I wish you all a crafty new year!
/ Jeanette
