My B-day Girl

Tomorrow is my little daughter's 4th birthday. She had her birthday party yesterday - cake, balloons, presents - everything a little 4-year-old could wish for. She was over the moon! Since she loves Angry Birds, me and Annika gave her more birds and pigs (plush toys) for her collection and she was soooo happy when she opened her presents!

This is the card I made for her to go with that gift:

Det finns många saker pysslare är bra på och att shoppa brukar vara en av dem, men hur bra är vi på att göra oss av med saker? Allt det där som man köpte när man precis började: stämplar med roliga motiv, missmatchande papper, brads i alla möjliga former och stämpeldynor i en uppsjö av färger, sånt som det inte är nåt fel på men som man kanske inte riktigt slänger upp på Tradera?

Tyvärr finns det allt för många områden idag där svångremmen dras åt och där det inte finns pengar till det där lilla extra, som t ex pysselsaker, och där ditt ”gamla skräp” kan vara en riktig guldgruva. Min tanke är att du rensar i dina gömmor och skickar det till Pyssloteket så ser jag till att det kommer ett behjärtansvärt ändamål tillhanda.

Insamlingen pågår till och med lördagen den 4/2 och vidarebefordras sen till Klaragården.
Det finns dock några saker att tänka på:

- sakerna ska givetvis vara i brukbart skick och stämplar hyfsat rengjorda
- maxmått är 40 x 30 cm
- sakerna ska vara vettigt förpackade, brads för sig, band för sig osv. (Men det kan givetvis vara en påse med blandade brads, t ex.)
- minsta pappersstorlek ca 15 x 15 cm
- du står för frakten till mig (eller kommer förbi och lämnar det på Pyssloteket)

Hemlösa kvinnor hamnar ofta i beroendeställning till män för att överleva och priset de får betala är högt.
Klaragården i Stockholm har en kreativ dagverksamhet för kvinnor.
Där arbetar de för att ge människor kraften att förändra sin situation och utvecklas, samtidigt som de erbjuder en frizon där det finns möjlighet att äta, sova, duscha och umgås.
Den 8 mars varje år har Klaragården en konstutställning där kvinnorna visar upp sina alster.
Alla är välkomna för att titta. Klaragården ligger på Klara Västra Kyrkogata 20B i Stockholm.

These two boxes were given to members of my family for Christmas - they contained gifts not meant for them, but for children in need.

These little boxes are my favourites at the moment - even my daughter Kajsa has helped me paint them, but she leaves the decorating for me, she's more into acrylic paints and paintbrushes than anything else at the moment... ;)

Kortvikningskurs på Pyssloteket

Nu på lördag den 3 december är det dags för kurs igen - på Pyssloteket!

Vi kommer att hålla på mellan 12 och 15 och jag kommer att visa tre olika kortvikningar för att kunna variera julkortsmakeriet lite. Kursen kostar 280 kr och då ingår såklart material. Anna brukar vara generös med att bjuda på fika, så ni behöver inte oroa er för att sitta törstiga och sugna under kursens gång. ;)

De kortvikningar som jag kommer att visa är:

* Stafflikort

* Fönsterkort

* Blöjkort - låter inte lika fint som engelskans diaper fold... ;)

Once upon a time, when I was part of the TPSC team, I made this card. Unfortunately for me, I made the mistake of using the wrong stamp for that particular challenge, so I had to save this one for later. BUT I forgot about it and now I found it again:

August 27 was a gorgeous day - a day when we celebrated Malin and Mattias getting married! The wedding and the party was held close to Östersund in the north of Sweden - surrounded by the gorgeous scenery of the north we partied all night with our bellies full of fantastic food and beverages. ;)

This is the card I made for them:

My dear friend Malin celebrated her 25th birthday (oh so true! ;) a couple of weeks ago, so I sent her this card:

Lovely patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and some mini roses and pearls - pretty clean and simple, but still a little fancy with the gorgeous pattern on the paper. Love it - the colour is sooo gorgeous!

Now I'm off to enjoy a quiet Saturday evening - maybe with a glass of wine or two?

WOC Challenge 35 - Santa Claus

She loves water. She could play for hours. She makes her mother work in the meantime...

That means - she wants me to go and fill up the bucket with more water, since all the water she had is ... gone ... How could that be?! Well, she was having fun, and she was watering some of the plants in the garden at the same time, so I guess it was a win-win situation!! ;)

I've used plenty of lovely MME supplies, as well as WOC flowers - some of my favourites! But, for my number one favourite Kajsa - only the best is good enough!!

WOC Challenge week 34 - Christmas Fun

Wild Orchid Crafts is one of my favourite companies - their flowers and decorations are simply GORGEOUS. I can't live without their mini roses. Well, that might be an overstatement, but I use their products a lot - that's for sure!

This week's challenge in Wild Orchid Challenge blog is Christmas Fun and I decided to make a gift box. Since we usually have quite a lot of snow here in Sweden during winter, I wanted to make a box that was inspired by the cold weather and the glittering snow:

The only question now is - who am I going to give this box to? That is a question yet to be answered, but it's good to have started Santa's workshop, because Christmas is not that far away now... Believe me when I say that I'm giving the Grinch in me the creeps!! ;) I've said it before, but I DO enjoy Christmas crafting!

Kurser på Pyssloteket

På torsdag och lördag denna veckan så är det kurs på Pyssloteket och det finns fortfarande platser kvar för de som är intresserade.

Torsdagen den 6 oktober 18-21 håller Gunsan i en kurs i olika stämpeltekniker och den kostar 280 kr. På lördag den 8 oktober är det jag som håller i en scrapbookingkurs Clean & Simple - tiden är 12-15 och priset är 280 kr.

I've used one of the cute Lil Pinkette Tom Boyz - love them all because they are so cute and so much fun to colour. I've coloured this one with Copics and decorated the card with plenty of mini roses, rosebuds and bling swirls. I've also used my new Tim Holtz die - Tattered Banners - I LOVE it!! :D

...turned 50 just recently. And yes, they're in the electricity business. Or telephones and stuff. Well, I thought the stamp from Tim Holtz was perfect, anyhow! :)

Lots of flowers, even though it was a card for a man, but he turned 50 and I thought that called for flowers. Many flowers. I don't know what he thought of the card, because I have forgotten to ask my dad about it - will have to make a mental note to ask him. ;)

My layout for this challenge is this:

Lots of white space and a bunch of flowers, a tag and some string. Pretty clean and simple - I love to scrap this way at times.

The book is the last book of eleven in a series called "Sword of Truth" by Terry Goodkind. It's taken me a couple of years to get through all books - I think I started reading them when Kajsa was a baby... Since she's been born I'm too tired in the evenings to read more than a few pages, so that's why it's taken so long. I realise though, that I'm reading more and more now during the evenings, because it's sooooo thrilling!!! :D

Smash it in!

Have you tried the new products from K & Co, called Smash? I have, and I must say that it's not a masterpiece, far from, but it's not supposed to be one:

You're meant to just smash in little bits and pieces in your book - pics, tickets, receipts, doodles, you name it! - and let it be a true scrapbook. What I like about this one is that you can bring it with you wherever you go, because there is a pen/gluestick that goes with the book, which makes it easy to smash at any time.

I've used one of the pads from Smash - Family - and a piece of the tape that is availiable ("Like a lot") as well as some materials from Pyssloteket - ribbons and alphabet stickers from My Little Shoebox.

The picture is of me, 21 years ago, when I graduated upper secondary/high school. My nickname was Junior, because I was the youngest in our class (I have always been). ;)

Now I'm off to enjoy yet another day of my summer holidays...

The title is a song title that says (roughly translated) "I'm going to paint the whole world, dear mum" - and that is exactly what Kajsa is doing in the pictures. At least she's starting with her white tights... *insert rolling eyes here* Oh dear... ;) Maybe she's a bit too colourful to be wearing just white?

Birthday Card for Dad's Friend

My dad asked me if I could make a card for his friend who had his birthday last weekend. I was happy to make that card, and I used some of my favourite colours - brown and turquoise. Yum!

On the inside of the card was a pocket for dad to stick a gift card - he was very specific with the measurements so that the gift card would fit perfectly. ;) I think he was quite pleased with how it turned out, because I was paid about the double I usually charge for people who asks me to make cards on commission. ;) Or maybe it's just because he's my dad...

Mum's Little Model

This layout was inspired by an advert - it's one of the challenges for the crop at Magdas:

I've used lots and lots of mist - two shades of pink and two shades of brown. As I didn't have all the letters I needed for the title, I used a couple of numbers instead - I'm sure you can see which ones. ;)

The crop goes continues throughout May, so there's plenty of time to join! :D

This month's Christmas challenge is TAGS over at Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge. It can be a gift tag or a tag used as an embellishment on a card or whatever you can come up with, as long as it has a tag in/on it somehow.

My creation for this challenge is a tag with a greeting I think is very important for Christmas, especially since I call myself the Grinch! ;) Everyone is usually so stressed about everything that needs to be done - but I think it's better to enjoy time with your loved ones, rather than having tons of homemade food on the table and a pile of Christmas gifts that go up to the ceiling.

The big flower is from Prima, and it's a new favourite. I love the flowers that Petaloo makes as well, but I haven't found the ones I want here in Sweden, so I might have to order a bunch from overseas soon. Not that I don't have any flower embellishments in my stash... *ehum* ;)

I've used patterned papers and fabric letter stickers from Prima and then I've topped it with lots of flowers and some chipboard stickers from BoBunny Timepiece. Love that collection!!

This makes me think of Midsummer and I realise that it's not THAT far away now... ;D

I just love the background paper with all the clouds on it! Unfortunately I don't remember what manufacturer that has made the patterned paper... The tickets from Pink Paislee and the flowers from Prima are a couple of my faves.

This week's challenge is SPRING (spring colours, flowers etc.)- how appropriate when nature's waking up here in Sweden; flowers are starting to bloom and the grass is getting greener! You have the chance to win 2 RUBBER STAMPS of your choice if you enter.

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #14

It's that time of the week! A new theme to create from over at Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge - this week we're going for PINK!

I realised that my card wasn't all that much pink - but I used pink letter stickers, a couple of pink flowers and pink patterned paper at least! ;) The patterned papers are from Bearly Mine Designs - they go perfectly with the stamps from Tickled Pink!

This weekend I'm off to visit a very good friend, and we're spending the whole Saturday on a big crop - a total of 75 crafters will be attending! It's going to be SO great!! :D

I have used the digi Lil Lad Stefan for my card - isn't he cool? I thought he'd look good on a card with swirly blings - just like waves from the ocean - since he is a surfer. The text says "Damn, you're good" and it is a card specially made for a dear friend. ;)

This week's challenge over at Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge is loads of fun! Your task is to create a card or something else and decorate it with something off the scrap desk - something that is usually not used for crafting!

For this card I've used a bottlecap, which has the text hand made on it - very appropriate! I decided to make the card a bit more clean and simple, but I couldn't help myself, so I added quite a few flowers... ;)

A Wallet Card

An old and dear friend of mine asked me if I could make her mother a card for her 70th birthday, and I made her this:

The card was supposed to have a travel theme, so I used a ticket and some stamps to complete the look, as well as some yellow and white flowers, buttons and some bling. The ribbon on the cards are fastened with Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher - I love that tool!! To close the card/wallet, I attached a small piece of velcro with gluedots.

Now, let's hope she enjoys the gift that is presented in this card... ;)

Miss Anya card

This is one of the cards I made when I was in the UK visiting my dear friend Annika:

I didn't know what sentiment to put on it, so I just left it like it is. Maybe I'll add a name when I know what to use it for. ;)

The image is coloured with Copics, and I've used the gorgeous Martha Stewart Punch around the Page Cherish bought from Stampeezee, mini roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, Tim Holtz' Sizzix die Hardware Findings, a Tim Holtz stamp (a mini version of one of the stamps from the stamp set Spills & Splatters), some lace, Pearl Maker and a ticket. Behind the image is distressed cardstock, and some patterned paper from Tim Holtz paper pad Lost & Found. The image is cut out using a Spellbinders Nestability (don't remember which one, sorry!)

Hoping for some crafty time in the next few days as I have a friend who wanted me to make a special card for her mum, who turns 70 soon... I LOVE making cards for special occasions like this! :D

...how I seem to find new addictions all the time... Not that I leave the old ones aside - oh no! - but I keep adding to my must-haves and need-to-haves. It's not good for my wallet, but I LOVE it anyway!! :D

The image is coloured with Copics and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - I swear by them both! ;) The stamps I've used around the edge of the image are from 7gypsies, and they are a favourite at the moment!

Christmas Challenge!

Well, I guess you all think I'm nuts now, since many of you know of my feelings towards Christmas. The Grinch and all that... BUT having said that, it's not as bad as it sounds like - I DO enjoy many things about Christmas, and one of them is to make Christmas cards, of course!

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #8

Hi everyone!

It's time for another Challenge over at Tickled Pink's Challenge blog - this time it's all about tags!

I don't make tags that often, but it's a fun way of being creative - it's quicker than making a card or a layout, so it feels like a smaller project for me - and you can use the for so much. Put a tag on a gift or a bottle of wine when you're off to dinner at a friend's house, or use your tag as a bookmark.

The stamp I've used here is Lil Allsorts Emilio, which you can buy either on rubber or as a digi stamp - isn't that neat?

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #7

It's time for a new challenge over at Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge, and this week the challenge is to use FABRIC in some way. Here is what I created:

I don't think I've ever used fabric on any of my cards or layouts, so I had a hard time deciding what to do. I found a piece of an old sheet - pale blue - and realised I didn't want that colour at all, so I coloured it with my Copics! I cut it up in little flags and glued them to a piece of Scrapper's floss and then adhered it to my card. Yey!

Punches at Tickled Pink

This is my very first post with a card made for Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge blog, and I've used the cutest Lil Fashionette - 30s Lylah for it.

The challenge this week is to use PUNCHES - and as you can see I've used a border punch and a flower punch to decorate my card. What you might not see is the little butterflies I've punched out of plastic and put some Stickles on - top left corner, underneath and just above the big cluster of flowers is where you can find them. ;)
