Match boxes for Christmas @ Hobbyworld

I  have created two match boxes for all the candles of Christmas. Snowflakes and glitter is a must for Christmas - the glitter does not show very well on photo, though. The match boxes are painted with gesso, then I used stencils with modeling paste mixed with glitter. When that had dried I added some Christmas themed patterned papers and embellishments. My favourite is the snowflake punch from Martha Stewart - it is frequently used before each Christmas. :)

Chocolate Boxes @ Hobbyworld

It's getting closer to that time of year when you wish everyone a Merry Christmas, so I prepared a couple of boxes of chocolates for my daughter to give to her teachers. I created kind of a "belt" to go around the boxes - easy to slide off to get to the chocolates. :)

A Forgotten Tag

Sometimes you find pictures of things you have created and not yet posted in your blog. Today I found this picture of a tag I made for one of the challenges we had on a crop @ Fristads earlier this year. Isn't white and brown a fantastic combination?

Challenge @ Gummiapan

Gummiapan has loads of fun rubberstamps and I'm so glad I own at least one! This made it possible for me to join this month's challenge which has the theme SUMMER and you have to use at least one thing that can be found in Gummiapan's webshop.

I've given my new teacher's calendar a new look - some bright and summer-y colours (if you ask me) and the fun stamp with squares. Love it!

Travel Journal @ Hobbyworld

Some gesso, modeling paste and Prima's watercolor pencils made the background and then I embellished with supplies from My Mind's Eye's collection "Hello World!" - love it! You can get far with a pretty blank background and some rub-ons and stickers. ;)

A Thank you tag

Tags - fun and useful bits of paper. Todays creation is a thank you tag made instead of a thank you card - simple to hang around a wine bottle, tie to a gift or perhaps put inside a book (in that case with flat embellishments on). Sometimes a tag can be easier to create than a card - a smaller space to embellish, but still enough to leave a sentiment on.

On this tag I have created with many layers and started with several Prima Marketng color bloom sprays. I have dyed the resist canvas with color bloom spray and a brown ink pad so that it goes with the dirty background. A few fresh and clean flowers in light colours gives a nice contrast to the messy/dirty tag.

The patterned paper with a bingo board motif on is från Pion Designs wolderful collection Paris Flea Market which Pion Design so generously has given us girls on the team to create with! :)

A Gift Kit for Pyssloteket

Today it's my turn to inspire from Pyssloteket's blog. The creation of the day is a gift kit with a bag of tea, some chocolate, and (not in the picture) a nice tea mug. I brought this gift when I was invited to join a small at home crop late last autumn.

All About Me @ Hobbyworld

I have a lot of new stuff to show you - first of all I'll show you one of my creations shown @ Hobbyworld today - an altered notebook:

I'm planning on using it for notes about my exercise/food/thoughts concerning my weight loss and exercise. I've come pretty far since August, and it's time to start a new journal to better understand my strenghts and weaknesses. :)

Christmas matchbox

Christmas is getting closer and many people burn a lot of candles during these dark days of winter. It's nice to have a decorated matchbox to use - or maybe to give to someone? I have used a lot of glitter and flowers to decorate one to have next to my candles during December. Maybe I'll make some more to give away to friends and family.
