CC at Mollys scrapbooking

One of the challenges is to create something with the colours kraft, blue/turquoise, and white and I created a layout with myself wishing everyone and myself a happy new year in 2013!

Why not join in? The crop runs until January 13, so there's PLENTY of time to be creative! :D

Scrap Diary 2013

Today I've finished making my scrap diary for 2013 - a book where I can keep track of my DT assignments/dates, challenges I want to participate in, and crops/cyber crops. I am a person who likes to make to do lists and to write down what I need to remember, so a planner/diary/organizer is really important to me.

I had wonderful Christmas themed papers at home, but since I'm not a very Christmasy person, I used them in a more neutral way when I made my diary:

Since I'm also a big fan of My Mind's Eye, I made it after a sketch challenge found in the MME blog. Perhaps the sketch was meant to be for a layout, but I thought it suited my diary as well! :)

This is the sketch:

You have to submit your entrance to the challenge before midnight on Tuesday January 1, so there's still a few days left to join in!

Now I'm off to plan my scrappy year of 2013!! :D

Take care!

Easel Card

Today I'm showing an easel card over at Scrapptorget as a part of the countdown to Christmas:

I love to bling things up with Stickles and I LOVE to colour with my Distress Markers - though I'm not as good as for example Åsa - Scraphorse. If you haven't checked her blog out - DO IT!!! She's amazing! :)

Now, have a lovely day, and take care!

Xmas card

Remember I said that I needed to get started with my Chrismtas cards? I have a pile of cards now, so soon I can relax and send them all away... ;)

Today I want to show you the last card I've created - one in blue/turquoise, red and white, a colour combination that I love!

Countdown to Chrismas

Over at Scrapptorget we're counting down to Christmas, showing differend card folding techniques every day. On December 1 we kicked off with the basic card fold:

I've made the cards REALLY simple - just a stamp, some easy colouring and some stickers/text that says Merry Christmas - DONE! It doesn't have to be more complicated than that! :)

Head on over to Scrapptorget to check out all the other card folding techniques - today Agnelia showed us how to fold a recessed window card.

Take care,

I couldn't help myself - this month's sketch was SO GORGEOUS! Check this out:

The deadline is tonight, so when I finally had some time to scrap, I took the chance - and I made it!! Of course it's hopeless to get a good pic of the page, but you get it, right? ;) A page about myself.

If you haven't checked out LillBlomman's sketch blog - do so! Her sketches are awesome and there's a LOT of inspiration to be found there!! :D

Which is your style?

I tend to try different styles when I scrapbook - sometimes I create clean & simple cards and layouts, and sometimes I just LOVE to decorate the living daylights out of my pages - lots of flowers and stuff! Which style is your favourite?

These two layouts was made during one of my classes at Pyssloteket. One was really, REALLY simple to make, the other one had a little bit more work to it:

List of materials used can be found in Pyssloteket's blog - as usual - along with loads of other creations from my fellow DT-members! Grab a cuppa and head on over, why dontcha? :)

Take care,

Cards x 2

White - what a lovely (non) colour! I love to play with white - white details, white backgrounds, white all-over-the-place! Today I'm showing you a couple of cards where I've used a lot of white or light colours - one Christmas card and one card to be used whenever:

I just LOVE the cure butterflies - they are absolutely adorable and SO much fun to use on your projects - both cards/layouts and mixed media creations. On Pyssloteket you can find a variety of sheets with these lovelies! Of course the rest of the material can be found in that same shop!

I just realized that I need to make some more Christmas cards if I'm going to make it this year... Even though I'll probably just send about 20 cards, they have to be MADE first... I think I have two cards ready so far. Yikes! Better get going! ;)

Take care!

Starbucks Time - CSI #44

I'm stuck! I love Color Stories Inspiration's case files that challenge me with colours and JOURNALING! I'm not a scrapper who would usually write a lot on my pages - but now I've unleashed the journaling monster!! :D I have to stop myself before I write too much - otherwise the text won't fit on my page...! Can you believe it?!

Well, this is case file #44:

And here's my layout:

Detailed pictures:

Do I like Starbucks? No. I LOVE Starbucks!! :D

Take care!

Colourful Julius

This layout was SO much fun to make - a layout with lots of colour and a picture of my sweet nephew/Kajsa's cousin Julius:

I played with one of my favourite stencils from The Crafter's Workshop (Chevron), some lovely Dylusions Ink Sprays and some colourful washi tape to go with everything else. Don't you just LOVE all the colour?!

Check out Pyssloteket's blog where you can get some more information about materials.

Take care!

Layouts with food

Sometimes it's fun to create pages with other things than people. I tend to mostly have my daughter Kajsa as my main character on my layouts, so it's fun to do something completely different for a change. Today's two layouts shows some lovely vacation food - pictures were taken this summer when I visited the UK.

 Sushi in Birmingham

Lovely chicken at Nando's in York

These layouts makes me remember that trip - the tastes, the fun, the conversations and the wonderful time spent with wonderful friends. It was needed at the time, and it did good. A lot of good. I came back home and felt like a new person, for real!

More about materials can be found in Pyssloteket's blog.

Sunflowers - CSI #43

Edit: I'm SO happy - I've made the watch list on CSI with this layout!!! *doing the happy dance*

http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com/

If you know me, you know that I love sunflowers. They're sunny, beautiful, YELLOW flowers, and they make me happy. When CSI Color Stories Investigation revealed this current challenge, I knew I had to make a page about sunflowers:

The challenge was this:

Don't you just LOVE the colour combination?!! Come on and join the fun!!! There's still a few hours left to play... If you don't make it - there's a case file #44 as well... ;)

Take care!
