Purple in my art journal...?!

If you know me, you know that purple is NOT my colour, so that is very unusual. :) But hey, sometimes those pages just come alive on their own, and I don't have a say in what colour to pick...

Sometimes I challenge myself. With this art journal page I did so; I used colours I rarely use - purple and dark blue. It was so much fun and I have to do it again - can't let ANY colours be forgotten and not used! I want to use ALL colours! :D

Colourful bird @ Pyssloteket

Colourful art journal - part 2

Yet another colourful spread in my art journal - this time with a Dina Wakley stamp. I just love her Scribbly Women and her Scribbly Birds - I could probably use them on almost everything I create right now, but I try to be more varied than that. :)

Sometimes - a page from my art journal

My art journal gives me the opportunity to express feelings, ideas, a state of mind or just inspiration from a word or a colour. Most of the time it's for fun and it's not so serious, but sometimes I get emotional and show that. This page is one of the more serious ones in my art journal, but don't worry, I'm usually a happy bunny, so don't worry about me! :)

I have used Dina Wakley's Scribbly birds (stamps) and her heavy body acrylic paints as well as Prima's watersoluble oil pastels. I can't wait until I get my hands on Dina's new paint colours - anyone knows of a store that carries them here in Sweden? Please let me know! :)

March Challenge @ ARTastic

I just couldn't resist the challenge @ ARTastic's challenge blog, so from this inspirational picture:

The only must-have was wood veneer, and as you can see on the detail picture, I have included a wood veneer couple on one of the pages. :) It was SO much fun to create this spread - I think I'll have to look for some more challenges... ;)

Birds & Words

Okay, it's me and my (Dina Wakley's) scribbly birds again. I love them and I can't get enough of them. :) This spread is created with a thin layer of gesso, a bird, black pen and Prima Marketing's watercolour pencils + water and a brush. It's fun to work with a lot of white space and it's fun to try out new things (for me) that I have seen on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram etc. This time it was the way I wrote the words - this is copied from many other creative people out there - I wanted to try it out, so I did. :)

Beloved birds

Yep, I love birds. I love these bird stamps sooo much and Dina Wakley is a huge inspiration to me!

I have also used Prima's Oil pastel crayons - a DREAM to play with! I just can't get enough of them! :D
