A Gift for Dad

For Father's Day this year I made this for my dear Dad:

A giftbag filled with his favourite sweets, and a matching card. If you want to know more about what supplies I've used, I suggest you click your way to Pyssloteket's blog where you can find all information about that!

Of course Kajsa wanted to give something to her grandfather, too, so she made these:

One for grandpa and one for her. ;-) Don't you just LOVE the die from Technique Tuesday??

Take care!

A Colourful Goodbye

I've decided to say goodbye to Scrapptorget and its wonderful designers - sad to go, but I've had a great time with the girls and I appreciate that! My colourful goodbye is this:

We're closing in on 2014, and I know it's going to be a great year - I have a good gut feeling about it! :D Looking forward to lots of crafting among other things.

Take care!

Christmas Inspiration

I found some unpublished creations - all very Christmassy - so I thought it might be a good idea to show them today! :) Here in Sweden we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve, so today I'm spending time with my dear family, having lovely food and watching my daughter's eyes sparkle as she meets Santa Claus and is given her Christmas gifts.

With this I want to wish you all a

VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Take care!

Project Life - n00b *)

During this autumn I've been tryning my wings on something new (for me) - Project Life. It's easy, fun and the result is great for my little girl to look through and us to talk about. She needs to develop her speech so this is a great way to practise!

I'll show you the two pages I've made so far - we'll see if I start from the beginning come 2014, or if I make an effort to gather som photos from the last months of 2013 - I don't want this project to be a "must-do". I want to keep creativity flowing! :D

It's mostly in Swedish, as you can see, but I think you get most of it even if you don't speak the language. :)

*) You know that a n00b is a beginner, right? :)

Take care!

Happy Girl

It's soon Christmas and I really long for sunshine and heat! Even though I appreciate making Christmas cards and buy and wrap Christmas presents, it can't measure up to having lovely weather, swimming in the ocean, having ice cream in the sunshine and constantly wearing sunglasses! ;-)

This page brings back memories of one of our lovely days at Gotland this summer - we had a brilliant time and Kajsa LOVED it:

For more information about what I've used and how I did the background - please visit Pyssloteket's blog

December 13 @ Scrapptorget

Today is my day to blog @ Scrapptorget, and today I'm showing my gingersnap dispenser, made from an empty Pringles container. I found the idea in Angelica's blog, and felt I had to try it myself!

Yesterday, celebrating my birthday, I served gingersnaps from this dispenser along with other goodies. How do you serve your gingersnaps - out of the box/biscuit tin or nicely arranged on a plate? Maybe you don't eat them at all? Well then, this idea works for other types of biscuits, too! ;-)

On Sunday I'll be back with another creation for Scrapptorget - something else for everyone with a sweet tooth...

Have a lovely day and take care!

The Adventures of Kajsa

A little more than a week ago I had a scrapbooking course @ Pyssloteket where I aimed to inspire my students to try clean & simple. My page wasn't finished during the course, but I finished it at home afterwards:

The patterned paper with a map pattern is really a Christmas themed paper, but I wanted to show you that it's absolutely ok to use Christmas papers for a summer themed layout as well! Look at this - doesn't the patterned papers go well together and with the adventure theme of the page? Sometimes I'd like to think i DO think out of the box a bit... ;-)

Of course you can find all the details here and the links to what supplies I've used.

Take care!

Advent Calendar @ ScrappTorget

In December ScrappTorget is hosting an advent calendar - every day we're showing something altered or some kind of home made decoration - all in the spirit of Christmas, of course!

So far I have contributed with a tag to put on a Christmas gift:

I used a manlia tag and covered it with Distress ink and acrylic paint before I decorated it with flowers, ribbon and letters. I will definitely have to make more of these, because it was a quick and fun project! :-)

Take care!

Birthday Card

Birthday cards are always good to have in store at home - I know I've said it before - and here's another one of my cards for you:

I've blogged this at Pyssloteket today, so if you want to know more, just go here. I've used some lovely Spellbinder dies and the patterned papers are from one of Kaisercraft's collections Base Coat. I just LOVE the wood backgrounds!!

Do you have any particular "must-do's" when you scrap or make cards? For years I've had this hang-up on Edge Scrapers, and I find it really hard NOT to use one on my creations. Sometimes I challenge myself, but it's soooo hard not to...

Take care!

The Piggie Train

This summer me, Kajsa, and my brother's family took a fun day trip to a theme park for younger kids. Both Kajsa and her cousin Julius enjoyed the attractions, and on this page that I'm showing @ Scrapptorget today, they are waiting for their turn to ride the piggie train:

I've used lots of washi tape and flowers - you can find loads at Pyssloteket, as well as the wood veneer decorations. I just love playing with white + lots of bright colours, and since the kids had such sparkly colours on here, I could do just that! ;-) Lucky me!

Take care!

Colourful B-day Card

I have a colleague who turns 50 this week, and of course I wanted to be the one to create a card for her. She's a very colourful person, so the card had to reflect that, too - this is what I made:

I haven't had so much time to be crafty lately, just had little moments to prepare a few projects that I hope to finish this week. ;-) There will be a December countdown @ Scrapptorget, you know that, don't you...? ;-) AND a few of those projects I was talking about might just show up there...

Take care!

Sketch @ Scrapptorget

Today we're giving you a sketch to be inspired by @ Scrapptorget. I've drawn the sketch and I've made a card after it. To be honest, I did the card first - THEN I drew the sketch... ;-) That's another way of doing it, and I know I'm not the only one, so that can't be all wrong, right?

Here's both the sketch and my card:

Christmas is Coming...

...and on Scrapptorget we're counting down from the 1st to the 24th of December. Each day we'll show something altered or some kind of homemade decoration or Christmas card for you to be inspired by.

* * *

Kajsa @ Sea

A few weeks ago I had a workshop at Pyssloteket where I taught vintage/shabby chic the Tettiz way. The page I made was this:

The title says "At Sea" and the picture is from the ferry between the Swedish island Gotland and the mainland - my daughter really enjoy the journey, and so did I! We're definitely going back next year!

If you are curious about what materials I've used - head on over to Pyssloteket's blogg.

Take care!

Challenge @ Scrapidoo

I've made another Christmas card! O.O

This one is made for a challenge at Scrapidoo - you'll find the challenge in their message board - and you were supposed to make a Christmas card and NOT use the colours red and green. My card looks like this:

I realised, after making this card, that I need to buy some more Stickles Star Dust - I ran out and I really want to use it again - and again - and again! I seem to go nuts with my Stickles every year when it's Christmas card-making time... ;-)

Take care!

Favourite Flower

One of my creations from the crop in Enköping earlier this autumn was this one. It was a colour challenge and I was assigned the colours purple and beige - SO not my ordinary colours!

I'm sorry about the crappy quality of the photo - I never seem to have time to take photos of my creations when there is still light outside. Really don't enjoy this time of year in so many ways, but it's really annoying when you have to plan your photography to the few hours of daylight there are. Not many in Sweden, let me tell you...  Well, it will be warmer and more light in a few months time again! ;-)

Take care!

A Day @ the Beach

A page about the lovely times we had this summer at Gotland. It was my first ever trip there, and of course Kajsa's too. We both loved it and we hope to go there next year again.

I've used one of the new Tim Holtz Layering Stencils, the one called Dot Fade - I just LOVE it! :D I will have to watch it so I don't overdose on it... ;-) You can find it in Pyssloteket's webb shop.

Don't you just love the sea monster in the background of the photo...?

Take care!

Xmas Cards @ Svensk Scrapbooking

One of the challenges over @ Svensk Scrapbooking recently was to make three Christmas cards that were similar in colour and style. I made these three cards:

It's quite remarkable that I've already started on this year's Christmas cards - the Grinch! - but it feels pretty ok. Maybe I don't have to send out the cards just a few days before Christmas this year...?

Take care!
