A Great Day

We've had too many days of coughing, high temperature, snivelling, and just feeling down and under the weather. Many days home from daycare and work. It drains you of energy and leaves you wondering how you will ever cope. But you do. And then you finally have one of those great days like today:

We spent part of the day in a shopping centre and went to see The Croods - a film both mother and daughter enjoyed! Look at the little one's face - she was in heaven when she realised what we were going to do. She could have popcorn AND Coca Cola with the film and she was an angel all 1 hour and 39 minutes. That's pure joy!!

I hope you have all had a great Saturday!

Take care!

Pink and Gorjuss

This card, made for Pyssloteket, turned out very pink and girly! I don't mind, I like to try to vary my style and the colours I use when crafting.

I just love the Gorjuss stamps - they are so much fun to colour and so easy to use!

Anna has a lot of these cute stamps at Pyssloteket - as well as loads of other stamps and scrap goodies - take a peek in the shop, why don't you...? ;-) You can find a list of materials used in Pyssloteket's blog.

Take care!

Summers of '10 and '11

I found some old photos of Kajsa - from 2010 and 2011 - and I decided to use them on a couple of pages. I had some lovely patterned papers from Pyssloteket that I wanted to use, and they went perfectly together with the photos!

Can you see the big difference - the photos are taken about a year apart. She's my little weed! ;-)

Take care!

April challenge on Hobbyworld

Every month there is a new challenge in Hobbyworld's blog - this month they have a lovely sketch to get inspired by. I have made my page after that sketch, and I want to join in!!

I chose a lot of bright and colourful patterned papers - the black & white photo and the white background needed these splashes of coulour, don't you think?

There's still plenty of time to join the challenge - deadline is April 21 - so come on!! :D You KNOW you  want to... ;-)

Take care!

Red skis

Kajsa got a pair of skis this last Christmas, and of course she tried them out - we've had a very snowy winter here in most parts of Sweden. Anyway - Kajsa really enjoyed her skis, but she was very careful and did not really want to go in any slopes - she liked to be skiing around wherever the ground was flat. ;-)

My little girl on her red skis - from her grandfather (my dad) - so happy! One of my wonderful memories from this winter - BUT I'm glad winter is almost over now, I'm a bit tired of the snow... ;-)

Take care!

Dreams will grow in your heart

There's a great poem  by the Swedish poet Bo Bergman I had to put in my art journal. Not the whole poem, but a part of it - roughly translated:

Dreams will grow in the heart, otherwise the heart is poor

I showed this page on Scrapptorget a couple of days ago, and I've made a few pages to show there lately. More to come. For this I've used a lot of pink for this page, as well as the gorgeous stencil/mask Poppies and peonies from Prima Marketing. My Distress paints have been out, so has my Dylusions and Neocolor crayons. Stamps? Oh yes - can't do without them! ;-)

I just love to play with colours in my art journal - it's really liberating to just put to painbrush to a clean page and just let it grow in front of your eyes. It's so much fun!!

Take care!

Chocolate and Flowers

There are some pauses between my posts here now, but I have loads to show you, so I'll try to catch up starting with the altered chocolate I posted in Scrapptorget's blog a week ago:

I gave this to a colleague who has tried to hide the fact that it was his birthday... Did he really think he could get away? ;-)

Take care!
