Colourful Close-up

On a crop a couple of months ago, we had a colour challenge - I got pink and turquoise so I pulled out a patterned paper, stencils and some distress inks to start with. This is what I ended up with:

Colourful - just as my little girl! <3 p="">

Kajsa - 7 years in January!

My daughter turns 7 in January. How did that happen? I can't believe how time flies and how quickly she grows. Since time really flies, and her birthday is at the end of January, I'm doing myself a favour by making the birthday card now. If I know myself correctly I'll have a lot to do in January, so I'll spare myself the stress of realising that I've forgotten to make the card... ;)

The card is made with the sweetest stamp from Marianne Design - Dancing Daisy - and I'm glad I decided to stamp and colour - it was soooo much fun! :D Around the image I've made some splashes with gold paint mixed with water (I used a toothbrush), and I've also painted the alpha stickers with the same gold paint.

Now, WHAT will I get her to go with the card...? Luckily it's more than a month left for me to decide what to buy... :)

Christmas matchbox

Christmas is getting closer and many people burn a lot of candles during these dark days of winter. It's nice to have a decorated matchbox to use - or maybe to give to someone? I have used a lot of glitter and flowers to decorate one to have next to my candles during December. Maybe I'll make some more to give away to friends and family.

You can find more information about my matchbox on Hobbyworld's blog!

Hello - card

One of my least favourite colours is purple. Sometimes I overcome my fears of using that colour and actually create something I'm happy with. Such as this little sweet card:

Happy New Year's Card

It's time for a New Year's card - I needed to do something else but all the Christmas cards that are in the making at the moment. I decided to go for white, glitter and layers. I just love Prima's art basics and art ingredients - I just can't get enough of all these yummy mixed media products!

A Perfect Day - PL

I have a Sn@p album in which I gather my smaller Project life pages. I don't create them in any particular order neither do I have to do one page/spread about each week - I just pick the pictures or a day I'd like to do at that moment. I try to put them in chronologial order, but I'm not extremely strict.

Today's two pages are from one of my top 5-days this summer - a day spent in Patrik's boat on Lake Mälaren. The weather was fantastic and the company the best - I really cherish this memory!

I realise that I have sooo many PL-pages to show you - I'll just have to take photos of them all! Bear with me, I promise to do it one of these days! ;)

Take care!

Coffee Break LO

One of the most important things about shopping is the coffee break - a time to sit down and catch your breath, think about what to buy next and to peek down into your shopping bags and be happy about the things you've already bought. :)

Today's layout is from one of those shopping breaks - this picture is from Täby centrum and an afternoon togehter with my daughter.

November Challenge @ CiLi in Papers

It was such a long time ago I entered a challenge or a competition that I decided to give CiLi in Papers monthly challenge a go. In november the challenge was to create something using black, white + one extra colour. I decided on GOLD and this is my layout:

I've used stencils, heavy gesso, sprays and acrylic paint for the background - don't you just LOVE the gold colour (one of my Luminarte Silks acrylic glaze)?! I mixed it with some water so I could get the splash effect I wanted. :)

A Family Day

One of those wonderful days this summer with my daughter Kajsa and my brother's family was spent at Lådbildlandet - a place for kids with a world of cars, lorries, buses, motorcycles, merry-go-rounds and playgrounds. It's really a place of pure fun if you're Kajsa's age!

December Challenge @ Hobbyworld

December is the month of Christmas and this month we decided to take inspiration from a Swedish Christmas song "Det strålar en stjärna" / "A Star is Shining" - and of course my creation has a lot of stars on it. I made a card with a star stencil using Prima Marketing's Art Basics soft matte gel and some of the lovely glitter that comes in different sets. The set I have is called Abloom and has some pastel colours and a white glitter. Love it!

You can't really see it in the pictures, but the flowers are dipped in gesso and then sprinkled with white glitter - they sparkle!!

If you want to be inspired and join in the challenge can be found here in Hobbyworld's blog - check out what the rest of the team has created to inspire you. I know there are lovely prizes to be won, so start creating!! :D

Positive Thoughts

I have a notebook where I jot down positive thoughts and reflections, and I could not resist the urge to alter it - of course! ;) This is how it turned out after I had a go at it:

Prima Marketing Colour bloom sprays ftw!! :D

Pekka 50 - airplanes

A friend of the family asked me if I could make her brother a birthday card - and of course I wanted to! The gift was going to be money for an upcoming trip (the paper rolls in the last picture was going to be replaced by real money) and the birthday boy works with air traffic, so I thought this patterned paper was spot on!! :D

I used a calligrapy pen to write the names inside the card, so it was ready to "go" when I delivered it.
