The Greeting Farm

I really need to give my blog some lovin' - I've been lousy at updating this week.

Work has been extremely busy, and my evenings has just disappeared. Working as a teacher just sucks all energy from you - especially now, before you get into the routine. All our students are back in school now, and I'm busy getting to know all of them (I teach about 120 students altogether). Then there's everything else; like planning, paperwork, meetings etc. Well, I'm enjoying it, but it sure is making me exhausted!! ;)

Well, I have something for you - a card I made last Thursday at Karin's:

A gorgeous stamp from The Greeting Farm, coloured with my Copics. Patterned papers from Basic Grey's Boxer paper pad and decorations from Prima, Petaloo, Tim Holtz. I also used some Pearl Maker and a couple of Kaisercraft bling/pearls.

Hope to get some time to scrap this weekend, but I'm not counting on it. I do have a layout that I made last night at Karin's - just need to take a pic of it so I can show you. THAT I will do this weekend! :)

Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Post-it note holder

At Karin's on a mini crop and made this little holder for post-its. October Afternoon of course. ;)

Edit: I've changed the REALLY bad mobile pic into a good one Karin took. Thank you sweetie for letting me use your picture!

Some more Kajsa and OA

Well, yes, I might be a bit predictable and transparent, but I LOVE October Afternoon, and I LOVE to scrap my little girl, so you'll have to get used to it. One of these days I might surprise you with other photos or other paper manufacturers, but until then...

This LO is about how much Kajsa loves salty snacks. Just like her mum... ;)

Take care and have a lovely weekend!

Big Girl

Using a sketch challenge Annika gave me, I made this LO:

The journaling says: "It's amazing how quickly you grow and how much you develop. You walk, run, climb, and play. You've said your first words and your teeth grow like weed!"

I've scrapped those photographs so many times, but I don't ever get tired of them - I love them!! :D

No more scrappy stuff for today, you'll have to wait until tomorrow... ;)

More Kajsa and OA

Ok, so here's some more Kajsa for you:

The text says "You are my sunshine" and the journaling says "The happiest girl - you make me bubble with joy when you laugh!". I've used some October Afternoon Road Map-papers from the 8x8 paper pad, and some journaling stickers from the same company. The title is made with self adhesive foam, using QK Supermarket alpha.

My Partner in Madness

This is Elsa, my partner in madness, and one of my very best friends. Apart from David I think she's the person who knows most things about me, and I've shared many ups and downs with her. Mostly ups. ;)

I've used the August Nook kit for this LO, but I've added some MM tiny alphas, some Kaisercraft bling, a touch of PearlMaker, and some QK Mary Jane die cut letters. The little metal embellishment underneath one of the buttons was also added - see, we had this challenge when I did this LO:

* 45 minutes on the clock
* use at least two of these three: bling, Stickles or Pearlmaker, metal embellishment

I made it within the time frame, and I used all of the embellishments. :D I love challenges like that! :D

Take care!

Sketches 04-06

Since my sketches were popular with my dear friends over at pyssel.net, I thought I'd show you some of my old sketches too. These are not very neatly drawn, but I hope they're good enough to inspire you anyway!

Kajsa - my sweetie pie

Next up is a layout with little Kajsa, my cuddly girl:

I've used papers and embellishments from October Afternoon, flowers from Prima, one of my Tim Holtz tickets, and I've made my own foam letters using QK Chicago. Isn't she lovely...? *sings*

That's all for today - stay tuned for some more pics tomorrow!! ;)

Have patience, my friends...

I realise that I have to go through all my labels here in my blog, to make it easier to find the sketches I plan to publish here. I now understand what chaos my labels are at the moment. I like to organise things, and it disturbs me A LOT when something like the labels are in disorder... ;)

Well, I'll have to do it bit by bit - to do it all at once would make me crazy! So, please have patience with me. I'll try to be quick. :)

Sketches 01-03

I've been asked to show my sketches here in my blog - so I'll do as my scrapper friends ask me. ;) First up are three sketches, which probably can be used both for layouts and cards. Feel free to be inspired by my sketches, if you want to you can leave a comment and a link so I can come take a look at what you do! :) I'd love to see something made from my sketches, so don't be shy!! :D

Sketch 02

Sketch 03

If you want to put a picture of any of my sketches in your blog, feel free to do so as long as you at least link to my blog. Fair enough? ;)

Well, I'm off to do some scrapping now, so I'll see you later!

A paper hug

I made this card from left over pieces from the August Nook-kit:

The text says "hug"

I just love those alpha stickers from October Afternoon. How can I not? :D

Take care!

My teacher calendar

As a scrapper and a teacher you HAVE to make your calendar a bit more scrappy, and so I did a couple of days ago when I was at Karin's for a mini crop. This is what I made:

I've used materials from the August Nook-kit, and of course my new QK Haunted alpha - I LOVE it!!! :D

I have some more things to show you, but I'll save some for later... ;)

Now I have to prepare for some shoe shopping with little miss Stubborn - it could be a piece of cake, but it could also be an adventure... ;)

Tadaaaa for now!!

Can you guess which Annika this card is for? ;)

Scrap money

I've used the August Nook-kit to make a box in which I'm going to put all my scrap money from now on. By scrap money I mean money I make from selling hand made cards or selling something out of my stash. The contents of this box will eventually accompany me to the big fair in Gothenburg mid-October, and will there be used to buy new and yummy scrap supplies. ;)

Next up tonight is probably making a card for The Copic Colour Challenge, which I've been dying to do all week, but the time hasn't been enough.

So, I'm off to play with my Copics now - tadaa!

Kajsa på besök hos Elin

Kajsa leker med Elins pool i kvällssolen. Vi är mätta och belåtna efter god middag.

...and in English:

Kajsa is playing with Elin's pool. We are full and VERY content after a nice dinner together with good friends.

English

First of all, I've decided to use English more in my blog - I know some English-speaking gals who'd like that. I also know that most Swedes don't have a problem with reading English, so I hope that my Swedish readers are fine with this. :)

Secondly, I need to do something about the looks of this blog. It's driving me nuts!! What I would like to do is to scrap and photograph my own header, but I always seem to forget that when I sit down to do some scrapping...

What is your preferences when reading a blog? Dark background with white/light text, or white/light background with dark text? I am leaning towards a simple design of the blog - just clean and simple with a scrapped header, do you think that could work? I need to use some feng shui-thinking around here, I don't like when it's messy. ;)

Back to work - my break is over now!

Tadaaa!

Kajsa gungar - ny LO
