Colour challenge yourself!

I love colours, and like everybody else I have my favourite colours. I love to be creative with those favourites, because it's so easy, but would I only use those colours I'd soon get sick and tired of them... That's why I LOVE colour challenges - to try and use a colour combination I wouldn't pick in the first place, is REALLY challenging and FUN! :D

I've found this fantastic page on the internet, Design Seeds,  where you can find loads and loads of different colour combinations to use for your projects. 

Today I'm showing two creations in Pyssloteket's blog, made from one and the same colour palette:

Mother's Day @ Scrapptorget

In Sweden we celebrate Mother's Day the last Sunday in May and in Scrapptorget's blog today you can find many examples of gorgeous Mother's Day cards. My wonderful mother will be given this card on Sunday:

The wonderful window die I've used is a Spellbinder's Shapeabilities Window One - you can find it in Pyssloteket's shop.

Black, white, and PINK

Sometimes it fun to do something completely without any have to's or must not's - this card was born that way. I just pulled out some flowers I wanted to use and moved on from there. I saw this polka dot patterned paper and grabbed it, a piece of lace... Here is the finished card:

"Have a nice summer"

Actually the patterned paper is a Halloween paper, the backside more Halloween-y, but I think it works with all the pink flowers and the rhinestones. A good card to have in store - summer is here soon! :-)

Challenge 76 @ WOC

Good morning everyone!

After a lovely night's sleep and a long, lazy breakfast with my little princess, I realised I had something to show you here in the blog - something for Wild Orchid Challenges!

The current challenge is to use 3 or more flowers, and I've used a lot more than 3, so I think I'm pretty safe this time! ;)

The photo is taken the day after my 40th birthday when I had a lovely evening with Moules frites for dinner and then me and my bestest friend Annika watched The Hobbit. A fantastic evening in good company!

Make sure you join the challenge at WOC - IF you like to use a lot of flowers, of course. Otherwise it might be a really good occasion to CHALLENGE YOURSELF! :D

Came home a couple of hours ago after a LOVELY weekend at a dear friend's place - feeling all happy inside! Good company, good food, a long walk in the forest, lots of crafting - could a girl ask for anything better? :D

Colourful Art Journaling

I love my art journal. It lets me use colours in combination with words to express my thoughts and feelings. Even though I love using words, I love to write, it can be deliberating to use a paintbrush and colours for a change. I use words in my line of work every day. A lot.

April Challenge @ Scrap-Perra

There's a monthly challenge over at Scrap-Perra's forum, and I like to participate there whenever I have the chance! In April the challenge was to be inspired by a picture:

I saw some amazing creations in the forum so I'm really inspired to continue creating right now!!! :) Too bad one has to do the laundry, pack one's bags and get ready for a fun weekend... ;) No, you don't have to feel sorry for me - I WILL be doing a lot of crafty stuff this weekend, just not at home. I will  be spending time with a dear friend!
