A RAK card

RAK means Random Act of Kindness and it's always good to have a few of those cards lying around - I might suddenly feel like I want to send someone a RAK - you never know!

I do - so I made a bookmark for Cards of Maria:

Read and enjoy!

I've used patterned paper from Graphic45, white cardstock, Tim Holtz rubberstamps and distress inks, ribbon and small alpha stickers. I also covered the bird in Crackle paint, to make it pop out a bit more - the bookmark seemed a bit boring to me so it needed something extra. I'm not a fan of purple, but I'm quite pleased with how this bookmark turned out - I even LIKE the colours!! :-D It's good to challenge yourself to use things and colours you usually don't.

We'll see what I'll challenge myself with next time... ;-)

Garden Fun

Auntie Jeanette!!

Yesterday was a fantastic day - I became an aunt! Little Julius is born!! He was so tiny - only 42 cm and 2340 g - but the whole family are fine and everything has gone smoothly, as I understand it.

I really long to meet this new person, but I understand that the little family need their time to rest and get to know each other. In the meantime I've made a diaper fold card for the little one:


The pocket is filled with a ticket, two word cards saying "boy, lad" and "to welcome", and a tag saying welcome from us. It's really tiny - the card - just like the little man himself! :)

Easel card

This card I made for a challenge over at The Greeting Farm - I was part of the team Swedehearts. Unfortunately the card did not take us to round 3, but I was pretty happy with it, so I'll show it to you:

Lots of Butterflies

I've created a very butterfly-y card for Cards of Maria:


White cardstock, patterned papers from Graphic45, lots and lots of lovely flowers, leaves, and a gorgeous metal butterfly to top it all off. I just LOVE to use metal decorations - they add that extra something.
