Shopping and a Surprise!

Me and Stina took the yellow bug to Uppsala today for a scrap meet/fair. I had two demonstrations for Cards of Maria, who also hosted the fair, and then we indulged in some shopping. This is what I came home with:

Cardstock, alpha stickers, bling awirls, clearstamps, dimensionals, two Martha Stewart punches and a new Copic blender pen.

I ALSO brought this:

The whole Cappella collection from Basic Grey!! Stina Sweetheart bought them for me as a gift instead of giving me money for the petrol! Isn't she the absolute sweetest?!?! I LOVE these papers and I was looking at them at the fair but decided not to buy them because I need to cut down on expenses a little bit. And she noticed that and sprang into action!! *teehee*

THANK you, hun!!!

We'll see what tomorrow brings - I have some cards and layout in my "to blog" folder on my computer, but it's mostly DT work and some challenge creations that can't be shown yet, so we'll see... ;-)

I'm so happy!!!

I've been showing you a few of my creations for the Scrapfever over at Magdas, and today the result of the whole competition was announced. I was so surprised to see that the winner was ME!!!



The competition was huge - lots of talented ladies to compete with, so it's still a bit of a chock to me...

I will show all my creations to the Scrapfever here, in one post, just because that I'm so proud:

Mother's Day Card

Mother's day is celebrated the last Sunday in May in Sweden (please correct me if I'm wrong!), and of course I've made cards for my mother and my mother-in-law. This is one of the cards - one that I made at the crop in Ärla last weekend:

I'll go visit the car salesman on Saturday, and if nothing is terribly wrong with this gorgeous yellow little car, I will drive it AAAAALL the way home!!!

Yep. I'm soo happy right now. Like a child on Christmas. :D

Focus on You

This layout was a double challenge - it's made after a sketch and it's made in under 30 minutes! I think I had 50 seconds left when I was done with it...

This is one of my favourite photos of Kajsa, and it was so much fun to scrap!

The weather here is gorgeous, and I really hope it will continue like this now - sunshine, blue skies and warm winds. Lovely!

My 10th picture

Malin has challenged me to post my 10th picture posted in this blog - of course I'm in!!

This picture was taken in 2007 when I moved into my present craft room - it shows how it looked like then.


Maybe I should take some pictures of what it looks like now? Well, it's not that different, just one more scrap table crammed in there, and some new supplies... Some. ;)

Challenge #9 at XOXO

Mum's chai latte

Kajsa loves to stir and play with liquids - on this picture she found my glass of chai latte and sat with it for ages. I had to make myself a new glass of chai, because when she was done with the first, it was ice cold. ;)

Hope the sun is shining where you are and that spring brings lots of beautiful flowers - our flower beds are full of tulips now, and I LOVE it!! :D

Lovin' you is easy...

Yep, it is. She is the love of my life - apart from my husband, but that's a completely different story! This layout was made for one of the challenges over at Magdas - now we're all eagerly waiting for the results from the jury... ;-) 1 month of scrap challenges and 12+ challenges - let me just say that I've had a BLAST doing all these challenges!! :D

Scrabbles, anyone?

This is one of the layouts for the Scrapfever at Magdas - for this challenge you had to mess about with colours!!


I chose to use lots of glimmer mist on the background and then stamp some letters and decorate. The big black alphas are Pink Paislee and the tag underneath the photo is from Webster's Pages.

New for Brunkullan

My sketchbook is soon full, so I had to make a new one - and I did so with some of the lovely papers from Scribble Scrabble Brunkullan sent me:


I made it very simple because I often want to bring my sketchbooks to crops, and then I shove them down into my tool tote... You could easily imagine what would happen to it if it had lots of flowers and other embellishments on it! ;)

Now my break is over - I need to keep on working!

Pink elephants?!!

This card was made for a challenge over at Magdas Scrapfeber - a piece of fabric with animals in bright colours on it was the inspiration. You could do pretty much whatever you wanted as long as this fabric was your source of inspiration, and I picked up the elephants and the colours green, pink, and black, and went for a very simple card:


It feels like I'm trying a lot of different styles right now - is that good or is it a sign of general confusion? I don't know, but it doesn't matter - I scrap because I think it's fun!!!

Now, let the weekend be merry and let the scrap confetti soar around you!

My Grandpa

This is a layout, also made for the Easter crop at pyssel.net, about Agard - my extra grandpa. He lives about 450 kilometres from where we live, so we don't see him so often. I really hope we can go and see him this summer, though.

YELLOW!!!

One of the challenges for the Easter crop on pyssel.net was to make something entirely yellow. You could use an itsy-bitsy-tiny amount of one other colour, but other than that - YELLOW. Guess if I was a happy bunny?


My yellow card with just a little bit black (the alpha stickers) - oh how fun to work monochromatically!!

Candy Shoppe Challenge

Ok, I hope you know about Candy Shoppe Designs - if not - you have to go check out their current challenge AND yummy blog candy!!!

This months challenge is "21". Yep, the number 21. You can interpret it however you'd like, and my idea came quicker than I could say ... 21!!

This is my new little nephew - Julius - born on April 15 this year. He was so small he had to stay at the ward for early-born babies for a couple of weeks. That ward was ward - 21 - yep, that's it. Easy choice, right?

Colourful girl

This is one of the layouts I've made for Magdas Scrapfeber (Scrap fever) - one of the challenges I thought would be really difficult. It wasn't. The layout practically made itself - I just added the required elements: dark pink, light pink, blue, green, yellow; at least 5 flowers, at least 4 brads, something stamped OR something die cut, and bling. On top of that you had to include the two words "happy" and "colourful" somewhere on the layout, and those words are incorporated in my journaling.

I hope to do some more scrapping this evening - I have lots of new goodies from Magdas that I want to try out!
