Orange and blue

...is really gorgeous together! I had to make this card with those colours - a simple one with just a cluster of decorations on one side:

Congratulations

I hope that I'll get some more time to scrap tonight - I'm just full of creative energy at the moment!!!

Tadaaaa!

A RAK card

RAK means Random Act of Kindness and it's always good to have a few of those cards lying around - I might suddenly feel like I want to send someone a RAK - you never know!

This card is made for Cards of Maria - almost all of the materials used on the card can be found in the web shop.

Have a good day!

Do you like to read?

I do - so I made a bookmark for Cards of Maria:

Read and enjoy!

I've used patterned paper from Graphic45, white cardstock, Tim Holtz rubberstamps and distress inks, ribbon and small alpha stickers. I also covered the bird in Crackle paint, to make it pop out a bit more - the bookmark seemed a bit boring to me so it needed something extra. I'm not a fan of purple, but I'm quite pleased with how this bookmark turned out - I even LIKE the colours!! :-D It's good to challenge yourself to use things and colours you usually don't.

We'll see what I'll challenge myself with next time... ;-)

Take care!

Proud and happy! :D

Sweet ScrapMyran has honoured me with an award with the motivation:

"The funniest message board personality of the scrap world"

I'm happy and proud for such an award, and I will of course continue by awarding 7 people that I really enjoy visiting in blog cyberspace:

1. Lillpiga - One of my best scrap friends and one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to vintage. She must be the coolest chick I know!!

2. Rach - The Queen of Copics - she's THE BEST with colours! I always look forward to her blog updates.

3. Kajsan - My Thursday date for scrap - you make me laugh SO hard, honey! Extremely talented scrapper - you're a wiz with your scissors! *swirl-swirl*

4. Gulligullan - Clean and simple, but always with those little details and colours that makes everything pop out! Takes photos that inspire me a lot, too!

5. Carin - fun and bouncy who makes cards full of beautiful details and with gorgeous colouring!

6. Tvillingmamman Lotta - a colourful scrapper who generously shares her life as a twin mother - I laugh and cry when I read her blog

7. DrAnnika - she's crap at blogging but she's one of my biggest inspirations in the scrap world. Noone can get me going like she can - she's the best at giving me challenges to develop my scrapping! She's also my very best friend... ♥

7 great ladies whom all inspire me immensely!! Thanks girls - don't feel the pressure of sending the award forward, I just wanted to give you some lovin'.

And - to finish it all off I have to tell you 7 things about myself:

1. I love YELLOW!
2. I'm a teacher of English and Swedish at upper secondary
3. I love to play computer games
4. I'm a craft supply shopaholic
5. I'm a message board addict - I don't know HOW many I'm a member at...
6. I need to quit smoking...
7. I think I was British in one of my earlier lives... ;) Hence my affection for UK and the people there.

So, there you go - a bit of me and some love for the girls who inspire me!

Have a great Sunday!

Magdas crop - part IV

Another one of my challenge layouts for Magdas Scrapfever:

Dirty little girl

For this challenge you had to use some kind of stitches on you layout - I tried my new sewing machine for the first time, and I LOVE it!! :-D

Garden Fun

Kajsa having fun in the garden wearing her new sweater (which her grandmother knitted for her) with Daisy Duck on it. In Sweden Daisy is called Kajsa, so that's why this sweater is PERFECT for our little girl!

Have a great Saturday evening!
Hugs,
Jeanette

Reddutt-doijt!

Someone know what that means? Kajsa just told us that... ;)

Magdas crop - part III

Yet another layout I've made for the Scrapfever over at Magdas:

There are more to come, so stay tuned! ;-)

We are family...

Remember the old hit song with Sister Sledge? I used the title and some of the lyrics for this layout, which I've made for Magdas Scrapfever:

I just loooove that patterned paper I've used as a background - it's absolutely yummy!

Take care!

There is a crop over at Magdas message board and I'm in the game - soo much fun!! So far I've made 3 layouts and 2 cards, and I'll show you one of them today:

This challenge was to lift something that KarinB had done, so I scrap lifted this layout by her. Check her work out - she's amazing!!!

Auntie Jeanette!!

Yesterday was a fantastic day - I became an aunt! Little Julius is born!! He was so tiny - only 42 cm and 2340 g - but the whole family are fine and everything has gone smoothly, as I understand it.

I really long to meet this new person, but I understand that the little family need their time to rest and get to know each other. In the meantime I've made a diaper fold card for the little one:

The pocket is filled with a ticket, two word cards saying "boy, lad" and "to welcome", and a tag saying welcome from us. It's really tiny - the card - just like the little man himself! :)

Hope your weekend is great!

FBDÄB Stina

This is what I made for Stina for her FVDÄB day:

In the box there was a QK Lemonade alphabet which I knew Stina wished for, so I think she was happy about the present! :)

The card I made to go with the present looks like this:

Lots of hugs to you, Stina - you are SO damn good!!!

A girl with lots of thoughts...

This layout is made for Brunkullan Scrap & Card with gorgeous papers from Scribble Scrabble:

I just LOVE the colours!!!

Now I'm off to pick this little lady up from daycare!
Have a great day!

Folding it up

My dear friend Annika challenged me to try a different way to fold a card, so I combined that challenge with making a card for Cards of Maria. Here it is:

Beautiful paper from Graphic45, flowers and metal embellishments - all materials from Cards of Maria. Oh, how I love to make cards like these!! :D

Take care!

I've made a few layouts and cards for the crop over at Brunsons - it ends tomorrow (11 April), so check it out if you have the time. Lots of fun challenges!!

Easel card

This card I made for a challenge over at The Greeting Farm - I was part of the team Swedehearts. Unfortunately the card did not take us to round 3, but I was pretty happy with it, so I'll show it to you:

I made it using the swedish colours, as you can see - blue and yellow!! :D

Take care and have a great weekend!

Lots of Butterflies

I've created a very butterfly-y card for Cards of Maria:

White cardstock, patterned papers from Graphic45, lots and lots of lovely flowers, leaves, and a gorgeous metal butterfly to top it all off. I just LOVE to use metal decorations - they add that extra something.

Hope your Easter is pleasant - with lots of Easter eggs and time to scrap!
