Card kit

I'm in this card kit swap on one of the Swedish message boards (pyssel.net) I hang around; you were supposed to put together two identical kits - one to send to one of the girls and one to make cards from yourself. My kit has been sent and received, and I've made two cards tonight out of my kit. Two Christmas cards - IS IT TRUE? you ask yourselves - will mark the beginning of this year's batch load of Season's greetings to make and send. I REALLY enjoyed making them, so I might not be the Grinch after all - right, Wih? ;)

Well, 'nuff blabbering - I'll show you the cards:

Right now I'm also enjoying the wonderful company of my dear friend and scrap sister, Annika, who's here for a few days. We'll have a lovely time playing with Kajsa, scrapping and chatting away. Oh, yeah... I have to work too... Darn! ;)

Take care, peeps!

International Candy Swap

Look what I got in the Nook's international candy swap!! I can tell you it's all gone by now - it didn't last long. I got some help, though, so I'm not alone responsible for that big pile disappearing as if magic.

Have to keep on working now - just had a quick break to show you the yumminess! :D

In the Bath

My little girl LOVES to take her baths:

...and she's a very cosy little girl:

And her dad is a nutcase! Just look at this:

Well, I think I have loved my blog enough for a few days now, don't you think? ;) Let's just hope that I have some new stuff to show you next week - Annika is coming on Wednesday, and I'm sure we'll have some scraptime.

Celebrating my Father-in-Law

Today we celebrated my father-in-law, who turned 80 a couple of days ago. He invited us to join them for an afternoon with nice food and wine, and we had a really nice day. Kajsa was on her best behavior, and it was not a really BIG gathering, which can be exhausting - my own humble opinion.

We gave him an envelope card which we stuffed some money in - he wants to make a trip somewhere, and we wanted to contribute to that. This is what the card looked like:

...and when you opened it:

I thought the Road Trip-papers from October Afternoon were PERFECT for this card, and I really hope dear father-in-law likes it. :)

Have a nice Saturday evening - I think I'm off to watch a film in a bit. Too tired to actually get something done - I'm just aimlessly surfing the net right now...

Take care!!

Happiness

I made this LO last weekend, at the crop in Kolbäck. It's my sweetest daughter, almost 2 months old when the picture was taken, who is in today's spotlight:

I'm sorry about the flash in the middle of the photo, but I couldn't avoid it...

Take care and have a lovely weekend!

RAK Card

Last weekend I spent a whole day together with the girls in Kolbäck, on a crop. Healing for my soul and joy for my fingers, which are always eager to scrap! ;)

One of the things I did was this card - a RAK card - which is going north together with a present which is not from me... ;) Cryptical enough for ya? *heehee*

Have a wonderful Friday!!!

Lots of New Stuff at Brunkullan

Have you seen the latest products at Brunkullan? I tell you - I could go bankrupt from shopping there, so I have to limit myself. Not easy when you can find these goodies there:

And those are just a few of the goodies you can find in the web shop. Am I lucky to design for this fabulous shop, or what??!! :D

Take care now - I'm off to bed soon, being a parent is exhausting...

Birthday Card in Pink

One of my colleagues asked me if I could make a card for the school doctor, who has turned 65 recently. Of course, I said, I love special orders! This lady was a pink person, so I used lots of pink and brown, plus one of my favourite Tim Holtz stamps together with lots of flowers and bling. This is what I came up with - I hope she likes it:

Tomorrow is a new day with a new update, so stay tuned! :D

Take care!

Copic Colour Challenge - guest designer!

This week I had the incredible fortune to be featured as a guest designer on The Copic Colour Challenge blog, and the card I made for them was this:

The colours were these:

They were a real challenge for me - but FUN nonetheless! I love challenges and I love my Copics, so I had a good time playing! So, if you haven't checked the blog out - do so!! Lots of inspirations and fun, new colour challenges every week!

That's all for now, but I'll give you some more new stuff tomorrow since I have a few new pictures to upload here. ;)

Friday - day of happiness!

This is what we call it at work - The Day of Happiness! Fridays always has a great effect on my mood - I get deliriously happy! :D Tomorrow I'm going to a crop and will meet lots of dear friends and have a full day/evening of crafting, and I SO look forward to that.

Now, you know that card I thought I didn't take a picture of? I did. So now I can show it to you - AND a page I made last Sunday. It's about my beautiful, kind and caring friend Annika.

First up, the card:

...and the LO with Annika:

Both of them are made using the October Nook-kit with lots of yummy Pink Paislee.

Better get going with my packing now - am leaving early tomorrow morning for the crop!

Girl's night out

Tonight I've been out with three of my friends - we go back about 15 years, but we don't see each other that often anymore, so this was really nice!

We went to a really nice restaurant called Pont, which is about 15 kilometres from where I live, and had some really yummy food. We had some catching up on the gossip and the everyday life - kids and stuff like that. One of the girls is expecting her second baby very soon, so she showed off her beautiful, big belly. I'm so happy for her, but not very envious of what she has in front of her, so to speak. ;) I hope everything will go smoothly, though! Thinking of you, Ninis!!

I just realised that I have yet another LO to show you, but since I haven't taken a pic yet, you'll have to wait a couple of more days for it. Tomorrow will be super busy with parent night at my school, and I won't have time to whip out my camera before the darkness has fallen over the place I call home. ;) Hope you'll have some patience.

Now, I'm off to bed so that I'll stay awake all day and evening tomorrow. Want to make a good first impression on the parents, of course.

Night, night!

More to show

I'm not done showing you what I made this past weekend yet, so I thought I'd give you two more cards:

For this one I used patterned paper from the September Nook kit and the lovely Thickers "Ruby Slipper" from American Crafts; thanks to Annika who challenged me to use them - not very hard because they're gorgeous!

This card is in the mail now - going a very long way up north, even past the Swedish borders. ;)

The next card has left for a more southern destination. This one will not leave Sweden, though, and it travels together with some presents for a sweet friend who has a birthday coming up soon. ;)

There we go. I think I've showed you everything now - but for one card that I think I forgot to take a picture of before I handed it over to my mother who asked med to make it for her, so she could send it to a friend of the family. Too bad, but that happens sometimes...

Well, I'm off to bed now - dear Kajsa decided it was a good idea to get up at 5:30 this morning. I did NOT agree with that, but still I had to get up with her. That's kid's democracy for ya! ;)

Take care!

Picture update

Just wanted to share a little of what I've been doing with Annika around:

This card is made with material from Cards of Maria.

...and this one is made with wonderful Pink Paislee Amber Road-papers, and it's displayed in Brunkullan's blog too.

One more? Oh, okay:

For my brother's birthday on Wednesday. I think I'm safe showing it here, I don't think he reads my blog. ;)

There you go for now - I still have some more, but I need to save some for later, right?

Tadaaaa for now!

Company

I have the most brilliant company right now. One of my best friends, Annika, is here visiting me and Kajsa, and keeping us company when dear husband is in Prague.

Why is this company so brilliant? Well, let me tell you: Annika is the kind of person who is really good at cooking and baking, and we've decided to bake cinnamon buns today. She is also an avid scrapper, so we spent last night cutting and pasting and tearing and inking and... yeah, you catch the drift. ;) I really enjoy the crafty company, let me tell you!

But, I think this the most important thing is that Annika is an instant hit with Kajsa - Kajsa just LOVED her from the start. Last time they met was around New Year's, so it was kind of a "new meeting" for Kajsa.

...and she's also a brilliant friend for driving all the way from Skövde to Stockholm just to stay with me when David's away and I feel lonely. That's friendship for you!

Sorting the laundry

Kajsa helped me sort the laundry yesterday. I'm not sure it actually HELPED much, but we had fun, and I whipped my camera out and shot a few pictures. Here you go - Kajsa, 19 months old, a future housewife??!! ;)

Wishing you all a great week - mine will be really good when it hits the weekend, because then my very dear friend Annika is coming to stay with me and Kajsa. David is going to Prague over the weekend for a work thing, so I'm happy to have some company. I DON'T like being home alone... Yeah, I know, I'm a chicken. ;)

Take care now!

Sorry for the absence!

I'm here. I'm well. I've just been working, taking care of home and family, and had some me-time away from home. My computer has been put aside for a bit, but now I have some pics to show you - a few cards I've made at crops the last couple of weeks.

This card is made from Malin - Lillpiga's sketch, which was a challenge on Grodans blog up until today - but unfortunately I missed the deadline, so I'll show it to you here now. ;)

This next card was made at a crop in Kolbäck (as was the above card), and I used my August Nook kit to make it. It's for my husband, of course:

Don't you just LOVE October Afternoon..?! :D

The last card I made last Thursday at Karin's - I showed her how to use distress ink to make a nice background:

So, there. Nothing more to show you right now, but I have some pics of Kajsa that I might share with you another day. ;) She helped me sort the laundry today, the little sweetie pie.

Bye for now - I hope your weekend has been good and that you are ready for yet another work week. ;)

Tadaa!
