Tim Holtz Christmas card

I've made this card with one of my Tim Holtz stamps - the lamp post is soooo gorgeous!

The alpha stickers say "Merry Christmas"

The flower is a Prima Trellis Rose, which I have squirted some Tattered Angels glimmer mist (Brick) on. I've realised that I really like those glimmer mists, so now I need more of them. Shame on me - I can make my own using Perfect Pearls and distress inks, but I'm lazy...

Since I'm on my way to a crop today (and the rest of the weekend) I've made sure there's an update for you tomorrow as well, so check in if your curious!

Have a great weekend!

A RAK card

I have made yet another RAK card for my stash. I plan to send some RAKs out soon, so it's good to have the cards ready. ;)

The Steel pen-piece is a square from a Graphic45-paper, what else? ;)

Have a wonderful Friday, y'all!

Another birthday card coming up!

This one is covered in a Prima swirl and flowers, just because I felt like it:

I do love using my mini roses and those cute Adornit alpha stickers. The patterned paper is a Graphic45 - I have to try and use some other brands now, I'm stuck on them at the moment. ;)

The weekend it closing in now - on Saturday I'm off to a crop in Ärla, close to Eskilstuna, with a bunch of fantastic girls! I'm really looking forward to that, and it gives me a chance to use my new wheeled tote for the first time! Do you think it will hold everything I want to bring...? ;)

Take care!

My Mother's Best Friend

...turned 60 just recently, and my mum asked if I could make her a card. She likes purple and black, so I made her this:

Mum told me she was very happy about the card, and that's all that matters! I was very glad to hear that, because purple is NOT my colour and I hardly ever use it. It was a fun card to make, though, so I'll try to challenge myself to use some more purple in the future! ;)

More updates coming up tomorrow, so stay close if you want to see what I have in store for you...

Tadaaa!

More Christmas cards

I don't know where my Grinch is?! The non-Christmassy me has vanished, disappeared! :0 Well, I'm not really looking forward to all the Christmas decorationg and stuff like that, but I do enjoy my card making for Christmas. ;) Here's more proof of that:

For this I used my new stamps by Deleelsia (can be found at Kortmakaren)- they are absolutely beautiful and I really look forward to using them again. I'm very happy with how this card turned out - the colours are yummy! I think I have to make more cards with these colours.

Tomorrow there will be a new update, so if you are curious I'll see you then! ;)

Take care!

A card for a newbie

One of my best friends recently gave birth to a son, and I've made a card to send to the little newbie and the happy family. The little one is going to have the name Love, a fairly common Swedish name which is a Swedish form of the French name Louis. Yes, I cheated a bit - I didn't know that so I looked it up at svenskanamn.se. ;)

The text says "Welcome Love"

The proud mother might be snooping around here, but I'll let her have a peek anyway. ;)

The weekend is now over, and tomorrow I'm off to work again. This week will be a bit calmer (I think) since all students have the week off. Not us teachers - we have to work... *sigh* Well, well.

Check back tomorrow for new updates!

Smile!

I've created a LO with my mischievous daughter - she always smiles to grandpa's camera:

She's our little rascal - always up to something, or looking like it! ;)

I'll post some more of my latest doings tomorrow, so if you're curious - stay tuned!

Take care and have a lovely Saturday evening!

No blogging - lots of scrapping

We've had visitors this week (our dear friends Annika & Adam), and that meant many scrappy evenings, and I've been enjoying every moment of it. I have several cards and a few layouts to show you, but I need to take pictures of a few of them first and the batteries to my flash is charging right now. Will try to do it tomorrow in between visit from mother-in-law and garden work. :)

I also have to tell you that I've preordered the new Christmas set from Quickutz, called Santa's Workshop! The alpha is really nice and the dies (for making your own mini albums) look very promising! :D I'm not sure when it'll arrive, but I suppose it can't be THAT long. Looking forward to playing with those dies... ;)

Tadaaaa for now!

The Gothenburg Weekend

Hi all!

I'm back from our trip to Gothenburg now, and let me tell you - I had a GREAT time!! :D Not only did I get to spend some quality time with my husband and my good friends, but I also stayed at a great hotel, had great food, met lots of sweet scrap girls and did some fabulous shopping (and thus spent loads of money).

Since I really love to look at pictures of what other people shop, I'm going to indulge you in my shopping too - so if you're not interested; close your browser NOW! ;D

My collection of Distress Inks is now complete! ;)

Cardstock, yummy stamps (yes, there are Christmas stamps there, too!) and Prima flowers.

Plenty of alphas - foam, mini stickers, Thickers - Pearlmakers and a QK die I've been dying for (HA HA!) ;D

Finally - my very own scrap tote on wheels!!!

So, needless to say, I'm quite pleased with the weekend. Also, Kajsa has been a ray of sun at her grandparent's place - she just didn't want to go to sleep Saturday evening. Go figures - she takes after her parents - little night owl. ;)

Have to get back to work now before my break is over.

Take care!!

RAK card

I love sending RAKs (Random Act of Kindness), but I haven't done it lately. Thought if I'd make a card, I might get myself to send one soon. ;)

Hope your weekend has been good so far - I'll give you a report on the fair as soon as I'm back and settled in at home again.

Take care!

While I'm away...

...I'll show you yet another card I've made with the gorgeous Graphic45 Domestic Goddess:

Another birthday card - stocking up!

Yep, I'm in Gothenburg on that scrapbooking fair this weekend - having a good time with my friends AND my husband. I'll be back tomorrow evening - with shopping bags FULL of new goodies! ;)

Enjoy your weekend!!

Another birthday card

I've been good - another birthday card for my stock:

For this card I used some old patterned papers - just to challenge myself - and I THINK they are from My Mind's Eye, but I'm not sure. The branch is a QK die cut.

A short one today, but there'll be more tomorrow! ;)

Take care!

For a desperate housewife?

"Happy Birthday"

...or just for a friend?

I don't know - but birthday cards are always good to have in stock. ;) I tend to always run low on birthday cards, because when I make cards I try not to JUST make birthday cards. Then I end up with loads of cards that I don't send or give away, which is stupid. Thus, I'll have to make more birthday cards.

Over and out!

Christmas Card - G45

I'm totally amazed by myself - I've actually started making Christmas cards, as you well know by now. There are a few done already, and this is one of them:

"God jul" means Merry Christmas.

Papers from Graphic45's Domestic Goddess collection, lace and flowers/mini roses from Prima, and a few die cuts from QK. The letters are die cuts from Graphic45 - totally gorgeous!!

Stay tuned for more updates - I have a few cards waiting in line to be blogged. ;)

Graphic45 - Domestic Goddess

The latest Nook kit is full with wonderful Graphic45-papers - the collection is called Domestic Goddess and I just LOVE it! I have created quite a lot with the kit, but I thought I'd start by showing you this birthday card:

On Saturday me and my husband are going to Gothenburg for some us-time and a scrapbooking fair - guess if I've loaded my wallet for a great shopping spree?! I have sold some of my punches and a few QK alphas that I don't use so often, just to have some more to spend! ;)

Well, time for bed now - I'll update with some more new cards tomorrow!

Take care!

Kajsa the Rascal

This is a LO I put together last night when we had our weekly scrap night with the girls:

Almost everything I've used on the LO is from the October Nook kit - a kit with lovely Graphic45 papers, gorgeous lace and look at that sweet little bird embellishment. Yum! I never have any problems scrapping with G45 - it's soooo easy, the papers just falls into place, it seems. Love 'em!

This evening I've been unpacking my stuff so I'm ready for some more scrap here tomorrow. We'll probably be 4 scrap happy girls sitting around our dining table, scrapping the night away. Dear husband is going to a friend's place for some dinner and beer, so he won't be home until... late. I hope that Kajsa will be a good girl and go to sleep when her mummy says so. ;)

Well, enough talk for tonight - I'm off to bed soon!

Take care!

The Best Man

This LO was made for Brunkullan with the fabulous Graphic45 - Renaissance Fair papers and lots of other goodies (my husband e.g.):

If you want to see what materials I used - head on to Brunkullan's blog, where you have the complete list.

I had lots of fun doing this LO - I used glimmer mist and distress inks on the tag, but other than that it was kind of a simple LO, and I like that. I let the colours and the photograph pop out, and skipped the journaling.

The LO actually makes me think of Rimna - I think it is the choice of colours that I lifted from her. ;) Thanks hun, you are immensley talented and I love everything you do!!

Since I have some more to show you - check back tomorrow if you'd like. There will probably be some new stuff here then. ;)

Take care!!

Live!

Tim Holtz makes me want to sell everything else and just indulge in his products! The distress inks, the grungeboard, the rubberstamps and the embellishments - they make my fingers itch and my wallet twitch. Lucky for me I have quite a bit of TH-toys at home, and so I made this card for a challenge given to me by Annika:

The square background is made with distress ink pads, the flower on top is a grungeboard flower inked up in Aged Mahogany and then coated in Distress Stickles Rock Candy - I just love to play with glitter and colours! The ticket is one of TH's creations, and the piece of Prima lace is from Brunkullan.

Tonight might be scrap night - I need to check with the girls and with the husband first, but I hope so - I neeeeeeeeeed some scrap time now!

Anyway, do you think I should add some more sketches to the blog soon? Has been a while since last time now... Anyone?

Take care!! :)

Half a century!

My colleague Pepe turns 50 today, and of course I've made him a card! I decided to make a pretty simple card - a bit more masculine, even though I added some flowers. ;)

My favourite alpha Haunted was used here - it's perfect to use when you want to make a card to a man/boy.

The papers used are the Moravia collection from SEI - thank you dear Annika for giving me some of your beautiful papers. Perfect for this card!! I also embossed the edges of the label with copper emboss powder - the card seemed so boring without all the details I usually add, so I wanted to do SOMETHING. ;)

Well, I'm off to finish my cup of tea and to put little rascal into bed.
Talk to you later!

Card kit swap

On pyssel.net there is a swap going on right now, which is about sending a cardmaking kit to someone, and then you create from that kit. My kit was sent from MiaPuh and this is what I made from it:

My intention is to add text to the tag card when I decide who I will give the card to.

I still have some more things to show you, but I'll give you little by little – some things are for my DT's, so those you will see in the blogs of Brunkullan and Cards of Maria first. ;)

Now I need to make use of myself – there is laundry to be folded and toys to remove from most places in the house. ;)

Tadaaa & take care!

Kajsa Rocker

My little girl was given a really cool present from her "auntie" Annika:

She's now officially the coolest girl on the block. No competition whatsoever! :D

We're still at home, me and Kajsa, and I hope she's fit to go to daycare tomorrow - I can tell she needs more activities, even though she has not really had the strength to do much these last few days. She seems much better now, though, apart from the cough.

I'm off to cuddle my little rocker girl now!

Morfar busar med Kajsa

Man kan ha mycket kul med klädnypor. ;)

The Power

Kajsa has the power over the remote. At least in this LO. She just loves all kinds of remote controls and you have to hide them away if you don't want her to play with them... ;)

I'm still at home with this little lady - she's caught a cold with a bad cough and a temperature. Mum's poor little girl. I hope she feels better soon.

A hug

This past weekend has been scrap crazy!! I have tons more to show you, but today you'll have to settle with this card that I made for Cards of Maria:

The text says "a hug" and if you're curious what materials I used, feel free to pop into the Cards of Maria blog to read about that. :)

Take care!

Much appreciated visitor

Since Wednesday last week we've had a visitor - one that has been much appreciated by all of the family members. I want to show you how much the little one loved the company with some pictures from yesterday:

Kajsa in her new dress - a gift from Annika

Kajsa loves her auntie Annika!

Today my dear friend Annika left to go back to her medical training, so we miss her a lot... I'm glad I'll see her again very soon! :D

Thank you, hun, for the good times!!

That's all for now - but there's another update with scrappy things coming up VERY soon. Like in 50 minutes or so... ;)

Made for Brunkullan

Since me and Annika received a big package with goodies from Brunkullan a couple of days ago, we've been busy having fun with the contents. I've made several cards and one LO. The only one I can show you right now is this:

The gorgeous stamp is from CC Designs and the list of materials used can be found in Brunkullan's blog - if you're curious that is. ;)

Now, I have lots more to show you, but you'll have to stay put for a bit - I can't show you all at once. Tomorrow there will be an update here with a card that I made for Cards of Maria, so keep your eyes peeled then!

I'm off to the scrap table now! Have a lovely evening!
