7 facts about me:

1. I drive a bright yellow New Beetle - part of the license plate says: RAW

2. I can sound like a cackling hen and a great tit (a small bird for those of you who don't know) ;) - according to a colleague who is a bird-watcher

3. I often have to show my ID when buying alcoholic beverages - apparently I don't look a DAY over 20. ;D

4. When I studied in Nottingham (UK) some people thought that my native tongue was English.

5. I love playing computer games and sometimes discuss different games with my students

6. I teach Swedish and English to 16-19 year-olds.

7. I love to sleep - I could sleep until noon if I didn't have to get up with my little daughter in the morning. ;)

Remember some while ago I was happy about something - well, now is the time to tell you what that was all about...

Scrap Evening

I had a wonderful time last night over at Magdas - a scrap evening was arranged and Annette invited us into her home for an evening of scrap and fun!

Kajsan showed us how to make a treat bag and I tried some embossing powders from Ranger Ink - I ended up with one finished Christmas card, and then I started making one more that was not finished. I hope to get some time this weekend to finish it and scrap some more, because I always get so inspired when I meet other people with the same interest!! I just want to go home and scrap NOW!!! :D

Well now, I'll hold my horses a bit - still have some work to do today. ;)

After Work på Brunkullan!

Hej i oktoberkvällen!

Fredagen den 5 november är det Afterwork i Brunkullan Scrap & Cards butik från klockan 15.00 och fram till 18.00!

Vi kommer då att ha en butik fylld med massor av nyheter och fina erbjudanden och kanske någon liten överraskning! Under kvällen kommer vi att visa nya produkter och ni får även testa lite själva!

Kostnad 100 kr/person då ingår ett glas god dryck med eller utan alkohol som man väljer efter tycke och smak samt något gott att mumsa på till (lättare förtäring).

Anmälan görs till brunkullan@gmail.com och är bindande. Åldersgräns 18 år. Begränsat antal platser så först till kvarn gäller!

My brother, part II

And once again - some more FANTASTIC pictures of my brother when he was just a little toddler:

I love my brother, he's as nutty now as he looked on these pictures, about 33 years ago... ;)

Just little me...

...I might have been 1 or 2 years old in these pictures. I loved to scrap these, because I saw how much Kajsa reminds me of me when I was a child. I can see that we are somehow related. ;) Also, I mostly scrap pictures of Kajsa, so it's fun with a little change every now and then. ;)

I made this layout for Cards of Maria using patterned paper from Maja design, metal decorations and gorgeous flowers from the webshop.

Creative for Magdas

The material used on this LO is from Magdas - don't you just LOVE these wonderful papers from BoBunny's Cambridge line. The background for this particular layout is called "Crown Die Cut" and I love it because you don't have to decorate so much - it's so decorative in itself.

I've used some corrugated cardboard, Prima flowers and swirl, Tiny Type stickers from Cosmo Cricket, Thickers from American Crafts, and some kraft cardstock. Behind the photo I've used a piece of patterned paper from the same line - the back side of the paper "Chess".

Favourite Cake

Our favourite cake - these two I made for my husband's big birthday party this summer when he turned 40. They were very popular and I'm glad my friend Mia snapped some pictures of them, because I forgot about it! ;)

This layout was made during one of the great crops in Ärla - the challenge was to make something VERY pink. I think I succeeded very well, don't you think? I don't usually scrap with that much pink so it was fun to try it out! :D

Baking with Kajsa

The first time I baked with Kajsa we made cinnamon rolls - she tasted everything and was very happy to eat the rolls when they were done. She loves sweets!!

The material is from Brunkullan and I just LOVE those big alpha chipboards from Pink Paislee!! Aren't they almost as yummy as cinnamon rolls? ;)

The very last Christmas card of the week - old patterned papers from Cosmo Cricket, stamp from Inkido, mini roses, different punches, distress ink, and some Pearl Maker to top it off! :)

Christmas Card Week, Day 6

Saturday:

A card with flowers, swirls, lace and gorgeous stamps from Inkido. I also used some distress stickles on the swirl, and some branches that I punched out with the very first (but definitely not the last) punch from Martha Stewart. Tadaaa! :)

Tomorrow I'll show you the last Christmas card for this week - but I'm pretty sure there will be more to come later on. ;)

Christmas Card Week, Day 5

Friday:

For this card I played around with distress inks on the background, a stamp from Tim Holtz, white emboss powder, and lots of flowers, bling and Pearl Maker. I love making Christmas cards without the usual reds and greens - it's a bit refreshing to use other colours sometimes.

Thursday:

Today there are two mini cards on display here - both using patterned paper from Maja Design. One has a stamp from Inkido on it, along with flowers and lace. The other one has lots of Prima flowers, bling and a rubon.

I just love making mini cards, so why not make a few of the Christmas cards small? :)

Christmas Card Week, Day 2

Tuesday:

Kraft cardstock, red cardstock, lace, flowers, alphabet stickers and some Pearl Maker - quick and easy! When you have many cards to make you can't spend hours on each and everyone of them.

A Birthday Card

One of my colleagues asked me if I could make her a card for her son - of course, said I!

I used a digi stamp of Greeting Farm's Ian with a football since my colleague's son likes football.

Edit: The pic was not the best - but I had to use my iPhone and the light was not good at all... ;) Fixed the size as well now.

A Window Card
